Shawn was born and raised in Great Bend, Kansas. After attending college at Emporia State University and Wichita State University, he returned to Great Bend where he currently resides.

He is married to his wife Gaytha and resides in Ada, Oklahoma. He has 4 daughters and 1 son.

One of his greatest passions is spending time with his family, traveling, and playing pool.
